New Year and a few things.

hi all,

sorry for not posting in a while. i have a few too many things going on at the same time.

i was going to have a new site but within a day or two of acquiring a server, it was hacked badly. rather than waste time, i decided to finish my site first before i dump the data onto a server. so for now, i still have my blog. many apologies.

munnyworld was a smash hit! my custom raffy and friends sold during the first day within five minutes of opening. guess who bought it??? PAUL BUDNITZ, founder of KIDROBOT! THANK YOU SO MUCH PAUL! :)

speaking of munnyworld, here's a clip of my crash interview with KR on youtube!

i have two custom shows coming up but i have not posted any official information in regard to them as a lot of information still up in the air. so until i get the green light to post more info about them, you'll just have to wait. i will say that one is here in NYC the other is in the UK!

i picked up a lot of KR's GLOOMY BEAR zipper pulls. they are awesome! the quality is great. i was very surprised by this but i am very happy with them. DO PICK UP SOME!

that's about it for now... working on a few customs. you'll see them soon! hope there's more great stuff from me in 2010!

A night of firsts for me...

Image from Grownkidz.blogspot.com

Sorry for the late entry about this. I've been bogged down by deadlines and other stuff.

I attended Kidrobot's Meet the Artists party on Friday night, 2/6/09 after NYCC along with heavy hitters, Huck Gee, Sket-One, MadL, Shane Jessup, Pon and other Kidrobot rockstars. It was super crowded and the line just wrapped around the block. I had my first Kidrobot video interview with Maze, who was really cool. I was surprised he knew about the Sharky I did for Toyqube's 4th Anniversary show. Shane Jessup was really great- I have to admit I was rather nervous about the whole thing but he gave me some awesome advice.

So with guys like Huck and Shane signing, I just hung around with a beer and chatting with a few people. Nicole, aka the Toy Baroness suddenly asks "Hey do you want to sign?!"

The rest is history and a blur. My first few sketches/autographs looked like crap because I was so rushed, but the later ones were better. It's a new experience for me so eventually it'll get better.

I'll sign again. Soon, hopefully.

Naughty Holidays!

So, it's been a little over a week and I'm extremely happy with the release of my Reindeer Dunny. It's a real surreal moment for me as I remember it beginning as an idea while walking down West Broadway to an Adobe Illustrator graphic to final product. Although I've collected 3" Dunnies before, I cannot get past how small the details and accessories are.

My only disappointment is that we couldn't keep the red nose. I originally designed the chases with red noses. Admittedly, I was inspired by the 1960's holiday claymation TV special and I made sure it did not look EXACTLY like a certain famous red-nosed reindeer. Technically speaking, the Dunny, being a caricature of a bunny rabbit, adding antlers would make it more like a jack-a-lope, rather than a reindeer. Either way, I'm glad it was still made and it turned out rather well.

I realize my designs can't appeal to everyone, but I am thrilled to know that most liked it and purchased several for themselves and their friends and family. To those people, thank you.

Happy Holidays, everyone. I hope you're all VERY NAUGHTY!

Finally announced!

Reindeer Dunny 3-Inch
On November 20, Chuckboy’s 3-inch, doe-eyed deviant rewards nice kids with his removable bull whip and vinyl antlers, and naughty ones with two badass chases. Blind boxed and $9.95 each.

I am happy to finally announce my collaboration with Kidrobot on this year's Holiday Dunny! This is also my first production toy!
